Should Christmas be different for Christians in business?

As Christians, we must look at how we do things throughout the year, not just at Christmas.  I love that this time of year everyone is nice and everyone becomes more caring, but isn’t that just the rest of the world doing what Christians should already be doing?  Watch the video and see if you want to think differently about Christmas.

Today’s video is from Smart and Relentless.  They show you 20 ways to become a better Christian.  And they do it in a video that is less than 4 minutes!

As a business owner and a Christian, the more you grow your spiritual life, the more your business life will blossom.  God wants to show you to success, but he wants to do so by first fully trusting in Him.

God-given Passion – VIDEO

Today we look at James 4 and talk about our passions in business. God-given passions are part of what we do in business, but if we are not careful they can get distorted.

Thank you Coach Carey for continuing to share insight about business from God’s word.

Click here to read James 4:1-10.

Today’s video is about our perspective here on earth in light of scripture.  Bible verses, visual images and a perspective of life are included in each part of this scripture.

If you are a faith member, you can download any of these images with the Bible verse and the wisdom thought from ‘images’ in your dashboard.  It’s totally free for you!

All of these Bible verses talk about a perspective in business.  The business Bible verses focus on you and who you are according to the Bible.  We just need to understand who we are and help others in the world understand who they are.

The 7 Bible Verses used in this video are:

  1. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10
  2. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. I Peter 2:9
  3. Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ Isaiah 46:9-10
  4. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
  5. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21
  6. All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
  7. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18

Faith in the Workplace: VIDEO

Henry Blackaby wrote “Experiencing God.”  I did not know until I saw this video that he was so involved in the workplace.

Listen as Blackaby shares about faith in the workplace:

Here’s some wisdom I caught from the video:

  • Character determines assignment.
  • Success is much more difficult to handle than stress and failure.
  • You are not to be recognized by man, but be recognized by God.

What did you find helpful from this video?

Listen as a Christian Business Coach shares biblical insights for your business.  He starts in Psalm 91: 13 so have your Bibles ready so you can hear directly from God’s word.

It is not enough to believe in God and be in business.  We must be in God’s business.

God does not believe in recession

This video is a great conversation about how to view money and business.  It is simple when you put your life in perspective.

Too often we listen to media to tell us if we are in a recession or if things are good or bad. Make your own decision. I heard Zig Ziglar say, “We heard there was a recession and we chose not to participate.”

As a Christian business owner, you have the ability to help people in any economy. Seek God for His wisdom in your buisness and take action when He says.

Look at Joseph in the seven years of famine. He prepared a way to protect everyone under his care including his brothers who sold him into slavery. God was with Him and He is with you too!

As a Christian, your prayer life may be the biggest secret to your success.

This week we talked about using email marketing for business.  I wanted to make sure you are considering your marketing in prayer.  When you send out emails, you are sending something to help another person.  Hopefully, you are taking time to pray for each person and each email you send.

I ran across this prayer for business. I always wonder what kind of prayers other Christian entrepreneurs pray.  If you ever struggle praying for your business, listen to this prayer.  Let it give you some prompts to begin to pray fervently for you business.

Prayer is not what we do because we have to it’s what we do because we understand its power.

VIDEO: Light of the world

I watched this video and I almost turned it off, but I kept watching.  It is more that just another sermon on being the light of the world.  It makes us think about how we use our light and how our light affects the world we live in.

As a business owner, you are a light for Christ.  Don’t be a flashlight that gets stuck in a drawer and never shines.  Be a beacon to help others and grow your faith.

God wants you to let your light shine.  We can choose to reflect the pale glimmer of this world or we can reflect the bright, all-encompassing, great light of the creator of the universe.  It is so powerful and bright the darkness can not hide from it and the world needs it.

The world needs Christians to be a beacon, not a flashlight stuck in a drawer. #Christian Click To Tweet
